William Bell, one of the classic Southern soul singers, tried to update his production and surroundings in the '80s while retaining his traditional sound. His albums for his own Wilbe label, particularly this late effort, were only partially successful. His singing was mostly solid, his material mostly undistinguished. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
