This solo album by the vocalist for '80s angular jangle pop band Swimming Pool Q's explores a slightly tougher, more guitar-heavy rock sound than that band. Though Boston is in fine voice throughout, the songs are somewhat mediocre. A cover of Neil Young's "When You Dance I Can Really Love" is a highlight, but even it doesn't add much to the original. All in all, it's a solid album, but doesn't quite have the spark that ran through her work with Swimming Pool Q's. ~ Rob Caldwell, All Music Guide
