This band is somewhat of an Athens, GA, anomaly. While most of Athens' groups fall under the alternative rock genre, the Normaltown Flyers are straight-ahead country-pop and they're pretty good at it. With ten songs, all penned by guitarist/vocalist Brian Burke, this self-titled release by the Athens quartet also features super keyboardist Chuck Leavell and fellow Athenian Peter Buck.
