Sam Moore and Dave Prater brought a fiery gospel fervor to their recordings for Stax Records in the mid to late 1960s. Working with the crack production team of Isaac Hayes and Dave Porter, and backed by the greasy soul punch of Booker T and the MGs, Sam & Dave had more energy per pound than anyone on the planet as the two attempted to out sing each other on classics like "Soul Man," "Hold On I'm Coming" and "You Got Me Humming."
