A curious release, since most of the tracks appeared on previous albums and Motown had just released a greatest-hits LP on them, which is essentially what this is. They resurrected their pre-Motown hits "Letter Full of Tears" and "Giving Up," tunes they had remade on earlier Motown albums. Remakes of "Fever," "Glory of Love," and Aretha's "Dr. Feelgood" are pleasing renditions. They even included "I Heard It Through the Grapevine," the stomping "End of Our Road," and the guitar-enhanced, lilting "Everybody Needs Love." No singles were released, so it went unnoticed, failing to even chart. ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
