This Jazz Heritage LP sampler gives a strong overview of the hot big-band music of Fletcher Henderson. Three different periods are represented with two numbers featuring Louis Armstrong in late 1924, seven mostly heated tracks from Henderson's prime in 1926-28 (including hot versions of "Clarinet Marmalade," "Fidgety Feet" and "Sensation") and a few selections (including "Sugar Foot Stomp") from 1931.
