Leo Kottke, John Fahey & Peter Lang Leo Kottke |
Released 1974 The amazing thing about this album is that the unknown Lang holds his own in such eminent company. Each guitarist plays four self-penned, acoustic, instrumental tunes, beginning with a typically impressive display by Kottke. Lang includes a tune called "Thoth Song," which almost succeeds in re-creating the mystery that was ancient Egypt. In Fahey's four songs you can hear his influence on Kottke, although Fahey remains one of a kind. This album is worth a search. ~ Mark Allan, All Music Guide
